The NFL season is moving fast as we’re already into Week 7. We’re starting to get a clear picture of who’s who and teams who are still struggling at this point have to be concerned. As we move towards the end of October, here’s a look at the best games on the board this week.
Cincinnati Bengals @ Baltimore Ravens
Who would have expected the Cincinnati Bengals to be this good early on in the season? They are 4-2 on the year and cruising offensively behind the comeback of Joe Burrow and his new star receiver, Ja’Marr Chase. On the other side, the Ravens will be led by the electric Lamar Jackson. This is a divisional game between two teams that usually end up getting chippy with one another. Battling for the division lead, expect each of them to put their best foot forward.
Kansas City Chiefs @ Tennessee Titans
Neither of these teams seems to know how to stop their opponent. The Kansas City Chiefs and the Tennessee Titans are both among the bottom 10 defenses in the league. However, their offenses are great enough to make this one of the best performances of the week. Patrick Mahomes will come into this game after throwing multiple interceptions against the Washington Football Team. He can’t seem to stop with the turnovers this year. Meanwhile, Ryan Tannehill will have the monster that is Derrick Henry to lean on in order to keep what should be a high-scoring game pretty close throughout.
Philadelphia Eagles @ Las Vegas Raiders
The Philadelphia Eagles are again one of the most inconsistent teams in the league. They were putting together a nice comeback against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week but came up just short. That’s a week after coming back against the Carolina Panthers. Before that, they were blown out by the Dallas Cowboys. Is this team good or are they bad? Jalen Hurts and Miles Sanders were both mediocre at best last week but have shown flashes of greatness at times. They’ll have to play better against a Raiders team that has looked strong this season.
Indianapolis Colts @ San Francisco 49ers
The Indianapolis Colts finally got another win by taking down the Houston Texans, heavily leaning on running back Jonathan Taylor in the process. Carson Wentz has to be mentioned also as he has looked phenomenal throwing the football in the last few games. He has six touchdowns and no picks in the last three weeks. On the other hand, the San Francisco 49ers are coming off of their bye week and should get Jimmy Garoppolo back in the lineup.
New Orleans Saints @ Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks will give Geno Smith the start here once more and we’ll have to see how this team returns after a stinging loss in Pittsburgh on Sunday Night Football. The team fought valiantly but suffered another loss. They have now lost four of their last five and need a win to somehow stay relevant in the playoff race.
