The playoff picture became a little more complicated this past weekend with a number of notable upsets providing another shakeup in the standings. The Washington Redskins clawed their way back to .500 with a 17-14 win over the Seattle Seahawks on the road. Meanwhile, the Houston Texans suffered a tough blow with a 20-14 loss to the Indianapolis Colts just days after losing star quarterback Deshaun Watson to a season-ending injury. Here is your NFL rundown for Week 10.
Minnesota Vikings @ Washington Redskins
Odds: Minnesota -1.5
Kirk Cousins and the Washington defense stood tall in a tough road win over Seattle last week. Just when they were left for dead in the NFC, the Redskins turned a lot of heads with a surprising win in a hostile environment. Now the Redskins will look to build off that victory against another tough Vikings team that sits in first place in the NFC North. Minnesota is coming off the bye week and Washington is banged up, so that could be a big factor in Week 10.
Los Angeles Chargers @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Odds: Jacksonville -4.5
The Jaguars are tied for the division lead in the AFC South heading into Week 10. They should welcome back star rookie running back Leonard Fournette after he was benched in last week’s 23-7 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Meanwhile, the Chargers battled back with three straight wins following an 0-4 start but dropped a close one to the New England Patriots in the week before their bye.
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Indianapolis Colts
Odds: Pittsburgh -10
The Colts scrapped their way to a big win over Houston on the road last week. Now they’ll host a rested Steelers side that is coming off a bye week. Pittsburgh should be able to pick up where it left off, having won three straight.
New Orleans Saints @ Buffalo Bills
Odds: New Orleans -2
Just when Bills fans were starting to believe their team was destined to contend for a playoff spot, they laid an absolute egg on the road at the New York Jets. Buffalo will have plenty of time to refocus for its Week 10 matchup against a Saints team that has won six in a row. The Bills have to find a way to run the ball and get ahead. They don’t seem to be as effective when they’re playing from behind.
Dallas Cowboys @ Atlanta Falcons
Odds: Atlanta -3
The Cowboys are coming off perhaps their biggest win of the season after beating the Kansas City Chiefs at home. They’ll face a struggling Falcons side that again blew a double-digit lead, this time on the road against the Carolina Panthers. Keep an eye on the status of star receivers Dez Bryant and Julio Jones, both of whom were banged up last week.
New England Patriots @ Denver Broncos
Odds: New England -7.5
The Patriots hit their stride heading into the bye week with four straight wins to improve to 6-2. They can’t afford a letdown on the road this week in Denver. The Broncos are a desperate team after four straight losses and will have Brock Osweiler under center. The Broncos have scored 13.0 PPG during their four-game losing streak while New England has allowed 12.8 PPG during its four-game winning streak. The Broncos could be in tough in this spot.
