After a wild week of action in Week 9 where the Miami Dolphins finally won and the New England Patriots finally lost, the attention shifts to Week 10. The highlight of the week comes on Monday Night Football when the undefeated San Francisco 49ers host the 7-2 Seattle Seahawks. With bettor favorites like the Patriots and 5 other teams on bye, Niners-Seahawks is the best of the Week 10 bets to watch, but we’ll see start with four other games that have our attention.
Buffalo Bills @ Cleveland Browns
Odds: Browns -2.5
For all of the talk about how Cleveland could turn its season around once its schedule got a little easier over the second half, it became that much more difficult to buy the Browns optimism following a disappointing loss to the Denver Broncos. However, even at 2-6, the Browns are still listed as a 2.5-point favorite at home against the 6-2 Bills. We’ll see if Baker Mayfield, Odell Beckham Jr. and the offense can get on the same page in this one.
Carolina Panthers @ Green Bay Packers
Odds: Packers -5.5
Just when it seemed as though Green Bay had turned a corner as a legitimate contender, they went into Los Angeles and laid an egg in a blowout loss to the Chargers. Now Aaron Rodgers and company return home for a key NFC showdown against a Carolina team that is 5-1 since Kyle Allen took over for the injured Cam Newton. Running back Christian McCaffrey has been dominant enough to put himself in the MVP discussion despite playing a position that is often overlooked for the award. McCaffrey will likely need another MVP-caliber performance in order for the Panthers to win at Lambeau Field. That might be possible as the Packers are giving up 127.7 rushing yards per game this season (25th in the NFL).
Los Angeles Rams @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Odds: Rams -3.5
The fact that the Steelers have won three straight to improve to 4-4 on the season is simply remarkable when you consider what this team has had to overcome through the first nine weeks of the season. The bad news for football fans in Pittsburgh is that it isn’t about to get any easier. The Steelers will host the Rams on Sunday, who are fresh off of their bye. The Rams will bring their explosive offense to town but the Steelers defense has been strong. They’re fifth in sacks (29) and second in turnovers (22) this season.
Minnesota Vikings @ Dallas Cowboys
Odds: Cowboys -3
Less than a week after a primetime matchup with the Giants on Monday Night Football, Dallas will welcome the Vikings to town. The Cowboys are 0-2 this season against opponents currently holding down playoff positions. This will be their opportunity to prove that they can hang with one of the better teams in the NFC. Meanwhile, Minnesota is in a similar situation in the sense that it is 4-1 against opponents with losing records and 2-2 against everybody else.
Seattle Seahawks @ San Francisco 49ers
Odds: 49ers -6
The final contest of Week 10 will be a marquee event with the 49ers getting another opportunity to make their case as the best in the NFL. Seattle has clawed its way to 7-2 despite just a single win by more than one score all season. Meanwhile, San Francisco has rolled with five double-digit victories among its first eight wins.
